The late 1960’s and 70’s saw the emergence of jumpsuit in the most robust way where the most prime designers of the world like Oscar De La Renta, Christian Dior, Andre Courreges, Yves Saint Laurent had their own version of a jumpsuit created which they featured in the fashion weeks as well. In the 70’s jumpsuit became way more unisex where Elvis Presley would sport it as a part of their stage persona infusing more hippiness in the attire. In the 80’s jumpsuit became so popular that American designer Geoffrey Beene called it as the “ballgown of next century”.
